Tip to Crimestoppers leads police to suspect in French Quarter hit-and-run fatality | Crime/Police

A tip to Crimestoppers Inc. helped investigators determine and arrest a person in a deadly hit-and-run within the French Quarter, New Orleans police mentioned Saturday.

Rodolfo Gonzales, suspect in deadly Jan. 9, 2022, hit-and-run within the 100 block of Bourbon Avenue in New Orleans’ French Quarter. 




Officers apprehended Rodolfo Gonzales, 29, on Friday night time within the 6300 block of Chef Menteur Freeway. He is accused of placing and fatally injuring a pedestrian Jan. 9 within the 100 block of Bourbon Avenue.

The Police Division released a photo of the suspect SUV and sought the general public’s assistance on Friday at about 4 p.m., and arrested Gonzales about 4 hours later.
