Initially geared toward highlighting work by girls within the realm of movie and within the arts and tradition, Ladies in Movement was based in 2015 on the Cannes Movie Competition.
It’s now supporting a second leg of the exhibition devoted to photographer Vivian Maier, to be staged Feb. 9 to June 26 within the Sale Chiablese of the Royal Museums of Turin.
The retrospective was first held in Paris on the Musée du Luxembourg Sept. 15 to Jan. 16.
The exhibition contains greater than 250 black-and-white and coloration photos and movies and is curated by Anne Morin, shining a light-weight on the late American avenue photographer’s creativity.
Ladies in Movement is emphasizing the function of girls in images and all of their creative expressions, which nonetheless comprise profound gender inequalities.
Kering has been increasing its Ladies in Movement program in recent times and added the images award in 2019.
